I’m Back In Port!!!

Hey everyone, I’m back and glad to be home!  I had an absolute blast out at sea and I was able to get some great shots and capture some amazing moments.  It had been almost four and a half years since I had been at sea, and that is what the Navy is all about!  However, shore duty and being part of a Pre-Commissioning (PRECOM) crew take you away from the sea for awhile.  Going to sea reminded me of just how much I love the Navy and love being a Sailor.  Although, there was one event that put a damper on things.  I was working with some of the engineers and we were heading up to remove a couple of covers from an antenna when the top of my head struck the corner of a ventilation heater.  OUCH!  (There were a few other choice words as I recall.)  Anyway, I put about an inch and a half gash in my noggin and ended up getting three stitches.  All of this happened before we even got underway!  I’m fine and all is well.  As promised, I’ll leave you with some of the shots I got.  Enjoy and have a great weekend! 🙂
